Rowlands Castle Pharmacy was established in 2010 and is a family run independent pharmacy business. Offering outstanding customer service and a wide range of free NHS Healthcare Services, 100% of our patients rate us as either Excellent or Very Good (NHS Patient Questionnaire 2017). We offer an Award Winning Blister Pack Medication Service. We can blister your medication for you and ensure you take your medicines at the right time, on the right day.
This service is absolutely free of charge and is there to support you take your medicines and support your healthcare needs.
We order your prescriptions, blister pack your medication into weekly packs and can deliver them to your house or notify you when they are ready for collection.
We dispense both NHS and private prescriptions, providing a fast, efficient and reliable service at all times. At least two pharmacists are always on duty during opening hours to supervise the dispensing of prescriptions and to offer help and advice when required. We carry a wide range of medicines in stock. In addition, we are usually able to obtain foreign and unusual products not marketed in this country for specific orders. Our computer system keeps a record of all the medication we dispense in order to check for any possible interaction with other medicines and to ensure you can take your medicines safely.
We are fully EPS (electronic prescription service) R2 compliant. Your prescriptions can be sent digitally to this pharmacy from any GP surgery in the UK. We will then dispense immediately and have them ready to collect when you arrive. Emergency Supplies
Under certain circumstances (set out in the Medicines Act) we are able to make an emergency supply of a prescription only medicine.
This is intended for genuine emergencies only and is particularly useful if you have run out of important medication.
There may be a charge for this service.
We offer a full medication FREE delivery service, with a same day service for urgent acute prescriptions (e.g. antibiotics).
Delivery for prescriptions is free of charge providing you live Rowlands Castle, Clanfield, Cowplain, Emsworth, Havant, Horndean and Westbourne and a registered patient of the pharmacy.
If you would like us to dispense your regular prescriptions, please sign up for our managed repeats service.

MUR is a planned face-to-face consultation between a pharmacist and a patient to discuss their medicines, both prescribed and non-prescribed.
The review is concordance-centred and aims to help increase patients’ knowledge and understanding of their medicines, including how and why they should be taken.
It also provides an opportunity to highlight any concordance issues, side effects or other medicine-related problems from the patient’s perspective and propose solutions if appropriate.
This services is provided free of charge.

It can lead to serious illnesses, such as pneumonia and even death, particularly in the vulnerable and young. Symptoms can last up to several weeks and include high fever, cough, fatigue, chills, sweating, vomiting and dizziness.
HOW CAN I PREVENT THE FLU?
The flu vaccine is the most effective way of preventing seasonal flu and passing it on to family and friends. But there are some other simple steps you can take such as washing your hands and surfaces regularly, or using a tissue when you sneeze and cough.
CAN THE FLU JAB GIVE ME FLU?
In a word, no. The vaccine contains an inactive form of the virus which your immune system recognises and creates antibodies to fight against flu.
HOW DOES THE FLU JAB SERVICE WORK?
For starters, no appointment is necessary.

You can still protect yourself from flu with our private Flu Jab Service. The private flu jab is £10 for the standard NHS Flu Vaccination, and is available with no appointment necessary.
‘Normal’ Flu Jabs protect against the 3 most common types of Flu. The Fluarix Tetra Vaccine is an enhanced Jab providing protection from a fourth strain of Flu. and can be provided at £15.
Subject to eligibility, availability of an accredited pharmacist and at the professional discretion of the pharmacist
The service provides support for people with long-term conditions newly prescribed a medicine to help improve medicines adherence.
Speak to our pharmacists about your new medicines and we will provide professional and clinical support through your first few weeks on this medication, to ensure you have all the knowledge to make sure you get the very best out of your medicines.

We want to make ordering and dispensing your repeat medication as easy as possibly, and so have set up our automated managed repeat service to take all the hard work away from you. Each month we contact you to check what medication you require, order your prescriptions, dispense the medication and then either deliver the items to your home or text you when they are ready to be collected from the pharmacy.
Our service takes away waiting in a pharmacy for your medicines to be dispensed, or mishaps if you forget to order your medicines. This service is offered free of charge to all patients in Rowlands Castle and all surrounding areas including Clanfield, Cowplain, Emsworth, Havant, Horndean and Westbourne.
